A young man from Lincoln is facing a list of charges after police allege he stole a vehicle and crashed into a home before leading officers on a foot chase.
The incident happened in Grimsby yesterday morning around 7:15 a.m. when officers were called to the Alexandra Ave and Dennis Ave area with reports of vehicle theft, break and enter, and assault.
Police were able to find the vehicle close by after the driver lost control and crashed into a home.
The suspect tried to get away on foot, but police set up a perimeter and were able to make an arrest near Northgate Crescent and Hilary Bald Park.
Two people allege they were the victims of assault - one was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. One of the victims received minor injuries, the other is coping with serious injuries.
Damage to the house is estimated to be around $50,000 while damage to the vehicle is expected to be in the neighbourhood of $3,000.
18 year old Tyrone Jacobs is facing several charges including robbery, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon. He'll appear in a St. Catharines court today for a bail hearing.
