The town of Lincoln is preparing for Monday's solar eclipse.
The town's pools willl not be open from 1-4 p.m. on Monday, August 21st.
Day campers will be kept inside during this three-hour window.
Splash pads remain open, however, the Town encourages residents to follow the safety tips below if outdoors.
The pools will reopen at 4 p.m. for the regularly scheduled activities.
The solar eclipse is expected to occur between 1-4 p.m.
It takes anywhere from 60 to 80 minutes for the eclipse to reach maximum, depending on your location.
The closer to maximum the eclipse gets, the more of the Sun will be behind the Moon, the dimmer the light will get and the more noticeable the eclipse will be.
The Canadian Space Agency recommends that you never look directly at the sun and always use a proper solar filter.
