The Niagara SPCA & Humane Society were able to help local pet owners in need this week.
They have formed the 'Community Animal Relief Effort' or CARE supply program, which helps Niagara pet owners during the pandemic by supplying them with food.
The organization received a call this week from the Hope Centre which ran out of cat food.
The Niagara SPCA and Humane Society were able to deliver 185 bags of cat food.
"It is times like these when true partnerships shine to help our communities in their time of need, we are thrilled to be able to help our partners and communities who support us in our times of need" John Greer, Executive Director Niagara SPCA and Humane Society.
"Never are friends more important than during times of need, and during this particular time of uncertainty, we are pleased that we can count on the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society. Many of the increasing number of families who are accessing the food bank have pets at home, and thanks to the generosity of Niagara SPCA with their donation of cat food, we are able to help these families ensure that their pets are not left hungry. We are very grateful for the support from Niagara SPCA." Jon Braithwaite | CEO The Hope Centre
