A Niagara Falls documentary starring a local historian will be featured in a U-S film festival.
Wilma, which was directed by local filmmaker,Ayo Adewumi, will debut at the Capital City Black Film Festival later this month in Texas.
The film tells the story of Wilma Morrison's efforts to save a Peer Street church from the wrecker's ball.
Many former slaves went to the church after fleeing the U-S via the Underground Railroad.
The 88 year old woman, whose efforts helped secure a heritage designation for the site , received the Order of Ontario in 2011.
