The NDP MPP for Niagara on the Lake and Niagara Falls coming out against a proposed development in the old town.
Wayne Gates says after he attended a public meeting in January on the proposed Randwood Development it became clear to him many residents oppose the project.
About a thousand residents showed up at the January 25th meeting to express their opposition to a six storey building planned for the town.
Gates says the development is not right for the town, and is urging council to make a choice that protects the historic character of the community.
