Niagara Regional Police have located the missing senior suffering from dementia in St.Catharines.
77 year old Chrisitan Snejdar had been seen last around 2pm this afternoon.
Given the current weather conditions with the low tonight of minus 14, and Snejdar's medical condition, the Niagara Regional Police Service was concerned for his welfare and were asking for members of the public to contact police should they locate and/or know of his whereabouts.
During the course of their search, NRP learned that Sneijdar was registered with "Project Lifesaver".
Project Lifesaver Niagara is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting and responding to the challenge caregivers have of finding loved ones who due to their cognitive ability have a tendency to wander.
Participants registered with Project Lifesaver Niagara wear a personalized bracelet.
It is a one ounce battery operated radio wrist transmitter that emits a unique automatic tracking signal every second, 24 hours a day.
With this, NRP utilized specially outfitted mobile receivers and were able to safely locate Snejdar.
