A Chippawa landmark is closing its doors.
The Boathouse restaurant, formerly known as Chaplin's has been sold.
The restaurant opened at the historic site in the late 1970's.
The current owners say a local businessman has bought the restaurant but could not confirm rumours it will eventually be turned into a condo type development.
The owners tell Post Media the move toward a $15 minimum wage in Ontario played a part in their decision to sell.
An end of era party is planned tomorrow night starting at 8:00
