Niagara Regional Police are looking for help identifying a suspect wanted in connection to an alleged purse theft.
Police were called on September 15th, to a grocery store in the area of Louth Street and Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines for a theft complaint.
Officers met with the 83 year old female complainant who believed her purse was stolen that afternoon.
The purse contained the victims house and car keys, credit cards as well as other i.d.
Loss Prevention officers were able to assist officers by reviewing closed circuit surveillance video.
The footage captures a female who appeared to be targeting the complainant and following her about the store.
The suspect can be seen removing the purse from the complaints buggy and exiting the store.
The suspect is described as:
- white female
- 25-35 years of age
- wearing a royal blue felt-like overcoat buttoned up
- wearing a black baseball cap with no logo
- royal blue baggy pajama fit pants with white flower print
- black dress shoes
- black sunglasses
