The Short Hills Wildlife Alliance wants to see an end to the First Nations Deer hunt in St.Catharines.
Liz White, Director with the alliance joining CKTB saying it doesn't matter who is hunting in Shorthills Provincial Park, if damage is done, hunting should end.
She says damage can be seen all year round in the park because hunters and Ministry officials use vehicles and ATV's that destroy the ground.
She says there is a $28,000 annual budget to maintain the park and that can't cover all the damage from the First Nation hunters.
White is asking the government to conduct an environmental assessment.
The hunt continues on November 17th and 18th and then at the end of the month on the 29th and 30th.
