Frankie the pug is on the mend after being hit by a car in St.Catharines over the weekend and now officials are looking for her owners.
It was on Friday afternoon the Lincoln County Humane Society received a call from a local vet that a small Pug was hit by a car in the north end of St. Catharines and brought to their clinic.
During her initial assessment “Frankie", as she was named by LCHS staff, was sore and frightened but otherwise unharmed.
Staff at the LCHS took Frankie into their care and at the end of the day, one of the staff members took her home.
Over the weekend she recovered well and Frankie felt quite at home with her daughter Lily.
Today Frankie is feeling much better and her veterinary care is continuing at the LCHS clinic.
“This sweet dog had a rough Friday and Saturday but with the proper care and TLC she is doing much better today” said Kevin Strooband, Executive Director, Lincoln County Humane Society.
The LCHS is currently looking for her owner. Anyone with information is asked to call the shelter at 905-682-0767.
