The Lord Mayor of Niagara-on-the-Lake has issued a letter about bullying.
Betty Disero issued the statement saying she was inspired by International Women's Day saying as a community leader she wants to initiate the conversation.
She says Niagara-on-the-Lake has been at odds lately and she doesn't want town residents to be afraid of speaking out.
We asked if there has been a certain incident that sparked the statement, she said no but it was more of a general call out to bullies.
Disero, who was previously a Toronto councillor prior to being elected in the old town says if anyone in Niagara-on-the-Lake has concerns about town council, all you have to do is ask for clarification or answers.
