Today is not only the start of summer, it is also the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. ( And yes it will be sunny!!)
Summer solstice 2020 in Northern Hemisphere will be at 5:43 p.m this evening.
For many summer solstice is the most magical day of the year and this year marks a big celestial weekend for some in the Eastern Hemisphere.
In addition to the solstice, it coincides with an annular solar eclipse, in which the entire sun is blocked.
However, it won't be visible in Canada and the rest of North America.
It will pass through Africa, Yemen, Oman, Pakistan, India, Nepal, China, Taiwan and Guam.
