Mac student tests negative for coronavirus

McMaster University officials announcing a student who just returned from a trip to Italy is not infected with the COVID19 virus.

That's good news after the school learned the student who lives off campus did visit the school's science building last month.

Meantime, amid growing concerns about the spread of the virus, several Hamilton area school boards are cancelling March Break trips.

The Hamilton Catholic board is cancelling a trip to Italy and France and the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic board is also cancelling all international trips scheduled during the break.
