A new poll suggests most Canadians don't want to follow a path similar to the US, but the appeal of a "Canada First" approach remains.
Ekos and The Canadian Press surveyed nearly 5,000 Canadians by phone between September 15th and October 1st.
More than 60% of respondents said they don't want a "Canada First" foreign policy, similar to US President Donald Trump's "America First'' rallying cry.
But the data also suggest more than 1/5 of Canadians think the country should be more isolated -- a marked increase over recent years.
