Police are searching for a man wanted for multiple crimes committed in the Niagara Region on Monday.
Around 3 p.m. in the afternoon a man drove a stolen 2008 grey GMC Canyon pickup truck to the Esso Station on Regional Road 20 in West Lincoln.
He filled up the truck, entered the kiosk with a knife in hand and assaulted the clerk.
The employee was able to fight him off, and the suspect drove away in the stolen truck.
About an hour and a half later, police say the same man went to the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce on Main Street in Grimsby. He approached a teller and demanded money.
He was able to get an unknown amount of cash and once again drove away.
The suspect is described as a 5'9" white man, around 30 - 35 years old, 160 pounds with short, receding dark hair. At the time he wore dark pants and black hooded sweatshirt with 'Raptors' written across the front in red.
The stolen truck is from the Peel Region and the licence plate reads 6729WM.
