A scout with the Toronto Maple Leafs may have some explaining to do.
The Buffalo News reporting 53 year old Lindsay Hofford of Nobleton, Ontario was arrested Saturday night after sheriff's deputies say he got drunk, stole a golf cart at Darien Lake, and hit another vehicle then fled the scene.
Hofford is charged with driving while intoxicated, unauthorized use of a vehicle without the owner's consent, leaving the scene of an accident and refusing to take a breath test.
Hofford is the director of Eastern Area Scouting for the Maple Leafs and is the founder and CEO of the Pro Hockey Development Group.
When contacted neither the Leafs nor the accused would comment.
