It's not yet clear what caused a massive power outage that struck New York City on the anniversary of a famous blackout.
Yesterday's outage stretched about 30 blocks from Times Square to 72nd Street and Broadway, leaving the subway system in disarray and bringing the curtain down on several Broadway shows.
All in all, about 73-thousand customers were in the dark for several hours -- a fraction of those affected by the historic 1977 blackout that hit most of the city.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo calls the blackout unacceptable, and has directed the Department of Public Service to investigate.
