British politics has been thrown once again into chaos, after Prime Minister Theresa May's early election call backfired in a big way.
May's Conservative Party has lost its majority in Parliament, after she called the snap election in an effort to widen her margin.
The British media have reported that May has no intention of stepping down, despite calls for her to do so.
The result could send Brexit negotiations into disarray, and has already trimmed the value of the pound by three U-S cents.
