Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid has won the first of what many believe will be several Hart Trophies as the N-H-L's Most Valuable Player.
The 20-year-old claimed the marquee prize last night at the league's annual award show in Las Vegas.
Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews capped a memorable first season in the N-H-L with the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year.
Matthews led all rookies with 40 goals and 69 points in 82 games.
The league also revealed the roster for the expansion Vegas Golden Knights.
