McMaster University says a part time professor who is working as an advisor to the Trump administration does not currently teach at the school nor is he on its payroll.
Mac has been distancing itself from Paul Alexander who has taught health research methods at the school since 2015.
According to the Washington based website Politico, Alexander, a scientific adviser to Trump pressured CDC officials to alter reports on COVID-19, to align with the President's more optimistic message about the outbreak.
Alexander has now been summoned to appear before the U.S. Congress to address the accusation.
