If you happen to be visiting McMaster University in the new year, you better butt out.
The school has announced its banning smoking on campaus starting January 1st.
The university says the use of tobacco and all oral smoking devices will be banned from the Hamilton campus and at the Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington.
President Patrick Deane says it's important to try to eliminate health risks.
The university is offering free quit smoking programs to help people quit the habit.
