Can you image having your co-worker deliver your baby? Well that's what happened to a mom and dad in Niagara this week.
Mark Haynes from Niagara-on-the-Lake was trying to drive his wife to the hospital this week when she went into labour, but the baby was eager to make his debut.
Haynes and his wife Taylor, who are both Niagara EMS paramedics, were on the way to the St.Catharines hospital when slow traffic along Lakeshore Road forced the parents to pull into the EMS base on Linwell Road.
They were hoping to get an ambulance to the hospital, but baby Weston was born at the base with the help of local paramedics.
Haynes says the situation couldn't have worked out better and everyone is healthy and happy.
Baby Weston weighed in at 10 pounds 5 ounces.
Haynes has helped deliver eight babies during his career, Weston makes it his 9th.
