Several unions are blocking entrances to Canada Post facilities in a show of support for CUPW members legislated back to work
Dozens of picketers began blocking the entrances to the 24/7 Gateway Postal facility in Mississauga early Saturday morning and say they will stay there until 10 p.m. tonight.
The picketers are letting Canada Post workers into the facility but say that they not allowing mail to go in or out.
Canada Post says that the demonstrators are in violation of that court order and are currently partaking in “illegal picketing.”
The Crown Corporation added that that it will “take all appropriate action to address illegal activity impacting the collection and delivery of mail and parcels to Canadians.
