Some residents in Merritton aren't waiting for an open house to voice their concerns about a proposed development.
They've taken to Facebook with comments like "horrible idea" and "I hate this for our quiet little street."
The development on the site old high school calls for six residential apartment buildings ranging in height from three and four storeys along Seymour to 10 to 12 along the southern property.
St. Catharines city councillor Lori Littleton says the big concern is about the height of the building.
Littleton says development will not include any of the city land like the pool and the ball diamonds.
An open house is planned for December 9.
