Brock University will be among the post secondary institutions across the country taking time today to honour victims of last week's deadly plane crash in Iran.
A moment of silence will be observed at 1:00 this afternoon to honour the students, faculty and researchers were who were among the 176 people killed when the Ukraine passenger plane was shot down over Tehran last Wednesday.
On its website, Brock officials say "the community will join in remembering the victims with a moment of silence during a brief ceremony in the Rankin Family Pavilion starting just prior to 1 p.m."
The university also adds " we realize not everyone will be able to attend, so Brock encourages faculty, staff and students to consider honouring the moment of silence in classrooms, offices or wherever you are at that time."
