We are learning of more cuts by the Ford government in its ongoing effort to cut the provincial deficit.
Ontario conservation authorities say the provincial government has cut their funding for flood management programs in half.
Conservation Ontario, which represents the province's 36 conservation authorities, say impacts of the cuts will be felt immediately, particularly in smaller and more rural areas.
Funding for Ontario's two public library services has also been cut in half.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath calls the decision "shocking" noting libraries are a fundamental part of many communities where they grant, particularly lower-income children, access to computers and other important resources.
