New child care spaces will be opening up in Niagara-On-The-Lake.
Yesterday, council approved a $1.5 million Niagara Nursery School addition to the Community Centre.
The new facility will be just over 4,300 square feet with enough room for 10 babies, 15 toddlers, 24 pre-schoolers, and 20 school aged children.
Right now, more than 80 children are on an NNS wait list.
Some funding will be provided by the town, the Niagara Region, and the Ministry of Education but NNS will also be launching a fundraising campaign in the near future.
The building is expected to open in December 2020.
