Thirty-five dogs saved from farms in Korea will soon be up for adoption at the Lincoln County Humane Society.
The LCHS received the dogs as part of an ongoing partnership with Humane Society International, a group working with people in the Korean dog meat farm industry to shut down the waning practice.
The dogs are sold for meat or as pets, depending upon where the farmer can get the most profit.
Some of the dogs now at the LCHS will need additional care before and after they are adopted due to the conditions they survived, but officials say they are sweet and deserve the best after everything they have been through.
The pups will be up for adoption on Monday, and the LCHS is expecting a flood of applications.
