Fifty new cannabis retail licences will be announced today.
The province's second license lottery will allow 42 more stores in the province to sell legal weed, the remaining eight will go to First Nations Reserves.
The new stores will open on a rolling basis starting in October.
Unlike the first lottery where some stores were not prepared to open by the deadline, this time, the province made sure prospective owners had the cash as well as a lease on a storefront.
