Ontario's Ministry of Health has confirmed more than 1,000 patients who were being treated for COVID-19 have died.
A total of 86 deaths were confirmed in today's update, the highest single day amount of deaths so far, bringing the total number of deaths in the province to 1,082.
An additional 459 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed today.
Ontario has had 16,187 cases of the virus.
10,205 cases have been resolved.
12,928 tests were completed in the last day, with 277,522 tests done overall so far.
