Two men are facing a laundry list of charges as the Niagara Regional Police and RCMP wrap up an investigation into drug trafficking in Welland.
Police began to focus on a man they believed was trafficking heroin and fentanyl early this spring.
Around 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon two men were arrested and officers armed with a warrant searched a Patsy Avenue home.
Officers seized $12,715 worth of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, MDMA, and Xanax as well as $5,735 in cash.
42 year old Robert Adams is facing 15 charges including:
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Controlled Substance - Contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (8 counts)
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime with a value exceeding $5000 - Contrary to Section 355(a) of the Criminal Code
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime with a value not exceeding $5000 - Contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
Possession of a Prohibited Weapon - Contrary to Section 92(2) of the Criminal Code
Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest - Contrary to Section 270 of the Criminal Code
Breach of Probation - Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code (3 Counts)
18 year old Kyle Adams is facing 7 charges including:
