A House of Commons committee is expecting to hear from Finance Minister Bill Morneau today, about the now-cancelled agreement for WE Charity to run a student-volunteer program.
The committee is looking into the deal's approval, which came despite a number of possible violations of conflict of interest rules.
Morneau's daughters have ties to the organization, including one who works in the administrative arm.
He has apologized for not recusing himself from the decision making process.
Still, Canada's top bureaucrat yesterday said he couldn't see the finance minister and prime minister not being involved given the program's scope.
