St. Catharines City Council will be presented with a motion Monday calling on the premier to appoint a supervisor to take over the operations of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
It's coming from Councillor Bruce Williamson.
The motion says the NPCA continues to demonstrate an inability to operate effectively and in a transparent and accountable way.
It also say City Council has lost confidence in the management of the Authority to conduct it operations within government standards.
Williamson's motion calls for the City of St. Catharines to notify the Regional Municipality of Niagara of its intentions to develop its own selection process for its representation on the board after the next municipal election in 2018.
