Border officials in the U-S say they found ancient Egyptian artifacts on a Canadian mail truck crossing the border near Sarnia.
U-S Customs and Border Protection says officers seized five jars containing Egyptian mummy linens during enforcement operations at the Blue Water Bridge on May 25th.
They say the importer was unable to prove the artifacts were removed from Egypt before it became illegal to do so in April 2016.
They say they are working to repatriate the artifacts, which are believed to be from the Ptolemaic Dynasty of 305-30 BC.
