The Ontario Public Service Employees Union represents the 20-thousand workers at the province's 24 public colleges.
The part-time staff voted overwhelmingly to join OP-SEU following a massive organizing drive and the Ontario Labour Relations Board certified the workers on January 30th.
OP-SEU President Warren ``Smokey'' Thomas says he hopes the colleges will work with the union and ensure the members get a fair contract.
