Pavel Demin scored the shoot-out win a 4-3 character win over the CHL's 6th ranked Windsor Spitfires. Down 2-0 in the second, the Dogs scored three straight to grab a third period lead.
Windsor, coming in with a league best power-play, was held off the scoresheet through almost 10 minutes of man advantage time in the opening period. The game's first goal came right after the IceDogs denied a 5-3 Windsor power-play. A goal just after the mid-way mark of the second made it 2-0.
Christopher Paquette struck for his 12th, against the top penalty-kill in the OHL, less than two minutes later; the assists went to Mantha and Drew Hunter. In the third, Akil Thomas got the home side with his 12th in the first minute of the third. Johnny Corneil gave the Dogs a 3-2 lead with his 10th on a sharp angle shot off the right wing.
A bad bounce with 1:59 left sent the game to overtime where Stephen Dhillon would stand tall in goal as the IceDogs were again short for to of the minutes. In the shoot-out, Windsor scored first but Akil Thomas replied and after three Dhillon stops, Pavel Demin would bury the winner.
