A new dedicated COVID-19 testing centre is opening in Welland today.
The location at the Welland hospital will be Niagara's third assessment centre.
It will be open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and is located in the hospital's auditorium.
Dedicated parking spaces are available from MacLean Place and Plymouth Road.
Although residents do not need a referral to be tested, officials ask patients to call ahead of time to avoid long wait times.
Over the weekend Niagara Regional Public Health announced three new confirmed cases of the virus, bringing us to an overall local total of 738 cases.
Only 23 of those cases are considered active.
