Drivers in Niagara Falls will want to be aware of a new pedestrian crossover near Saint Michael Catholic High School.
The crosswalk will be up and running by Monday, allowing pedestrians to safety cross McLeod Road.
Crossovers differ from regular crosswalks in that they have specially marked signs and rapidly flashing lights.
Drivers and cyclists must come to a full stop and allow the pedestrians to cross when the lights are flashing.
Failure to do so could result in a fine up to $500 and three demerit points.
