A new memorial will be erected in Niagara Falls to honour firefighters who have paid the ultimate price.
A Line of Duty Death memorial will be built in front of the Morrison Street fire hall to honour local heroes.
The price for the new memorial comes in at $45,000 including two upright monuments that will bear the names of the fallen, landscaping, and restoration work on the bell currently on display.
Although local fire departments have been fundraising to cover the cost, during last night's Niagara Falls council meeting councillor Vince Kerrio mentioned donations from the public will be needed.
