The Ontario government says new teachers will need to score at least 70 per cent on a new math test.
A memo from the deputy education minister says the test will be developed by the same office that creates standardized math tests for elementary and high school students.
The test will include both math questions based on elementary and secondary school concepts, and questions on math assessment, planning and facilitating student learning.
t is expected to be in place for any teachers hoping to register with the provincial college of teachers on or after March 31, 2020
