Kids across the region will have a chance to get their hands on some real life saving equipment thanks to some of Niagara's Fire Departments.
To celebrate fire prevention week, the Fort Erie Fire Department and Port Colborne Fire Department are hosting open houses on Saturday from 10 am. until 2 p.m.
Hose handling and target practice will be available for the kids - they can also learn how to use an extinguisher on a real fire and meet a police officer, firefighter, a member of the marine rescue unit, and customs officer.
The Fort Erie open house will be at the Leisureplex while the Port Colborne event will be at the Fire Hall of Killaly Street West.
