Niagara's Acting Medical Officer of Health is asking residents to 're-double' their infection control measures now that we are moving to stage two of the reopening of Ontario's economy.
Dr. Mustafa Hirji tells CKTB's Tom McConnell as we enter stage two this Friday, we are at greater risk of COVID-19 spreading since more businesses are open.
He is encouraging Niagara residents to keep a two metre distance from others, wear face coverings if physical distance can't be maintained, and to wash hands regularly.
Hirji says residents should feel like we have accomplished something getting the virus outbreak under control in Niagara.
We have had single digit numbers, and even no new cases reported over the past few days.
