The Niagara Region is patting itself on the back after a particularly good showing in the latest employment statistics.
Unemployment rates in the region dropped from 5.9% in January to 5.2% in February, putting Niagara ahead of the curve as Ontario's rate currently sits at 5.5%.
Although the overall change in Niagara was far greater than our neighbours down the QEW, Hamilton's unemployment rate is slightly lower, coming in at 5.2%
Officials with the Niagara region seem hopeful, saying the labour force shows signs of rebounding to post 2008-2009 recession levels.
