Niagara College says if a strike by college faculty goes ahead, all academic programming will be suspended.
However, college facilities and services will remain open to students. Residences will also remain open for students living there.
On its website, Niagara College says it's hopeful talks between the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, which represents faculty at 24 Ontario colleges, and the College Employer Council continue, it appears a strike is likely Monday.
Earlier this week, OPSEU set a Monday, Oct. 16 deadline for strike action, saying the purpose was to get negotiations moving before it's too late.
OPSEU represents more 12,000 professors, instructors, counsellors, and librarians.
Niagara College said it recognizes it's a stressful time for students and it will do everything it can to ensure their academic program of study is completed.
