Niagara College's teaching distillery is putting out its first rum.
Students in the school's inaugural Artisan Distilling Class created the 'School Spirits Small Batch Rum.'
The rum is made from a dark brown sugar base and fermented over a two-week process.
It was then aged for a fully year in a 57 litre bourbon cask.
The rum will be available at the school's Wine, Visitor + Education Centre, where proceeds from sales support student learning.
