Staff and students at Niagara College will be proudly cheering on one of their own at the Invictus Games.
Jason Pulver, a Bachelor of Business Administration – Human Resources student, will be one of 90 athletes proudly representing Canada.
Pulver graduated from Niagara College's Police Foundations program in 2003 and went on to serve as a military police corporal from 2005 until 2010 at CFB Borden, CFB Equimalt, and CFB Kingston.
An ankle injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder led to his retirement.
He competed in shot put yesterday - today he will take on discus with heats set to start at 9 a.m. this morning.
He will also be hitting the court for wheelchair basketball on Thursday and Friday.
"I played basketball at Niagara College when I was able bodied, now not even an injury can stop me from playing the game I love; I just play in a wheelchair now," Pulver said via a release. "In some strange way, my basketball career is coming full circle through Niagara College."
