The Niagara Dream Centre is holding its first annual walk-a-thon this Saturday in St.Catharines.
Volunteers will begin their 5 km walk at the Christian Faith Centre on 60 Facer Street at 6:30 pm.
Dream Centre describe's itself as a faith based, charitable organization connecting broken people to a community of support.
They offer free resources and services that address the immediate and long-term needs in the areas of poverty, addiction, and abuse.
Although Dream Centre is new to Niagara, it has already been a huge success in Los Angeles for over 20 years.
President of Niagara Dream Centre, Sylvia Mullally says this is a great time to show your passion to the community, while creating awareness.
Local business are providing food and drinks.
There will be music and prizes.
If you are not able to attend the walk you can still get involved by donating, or sponsoring pledge forms.
