Local heroes were honoured today in Niagara, including a 5 year old girl.
Niagara EMS held their annual awards ceremony today in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Officials highlighting a situation, where a little girl, Aisling helped her mother Mary Anne following a seizure on the morning of February 23rd.
Mary Anne says she started to feel dizzy and she called out to her daughter.
That is the last thing she remembers before passing out.
The little girl responded quickly by put a couch cushion under her moms' head and alerted a neighbour, who then called 911.
Mary Anne says Aisling - who just turned five a month ago - has been handling things well since the incident.
Regional Chair Alan Caslin was also there to honour Aisling and give thanks on behalf of the region.
