With less than two weeks to go before Remembrance Day, police are looking for the culprit who defaced a Niagara Falls cenotaph.
It happened, Sunday at the monument in front of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479 on Spring Street.
A surveillance camera shows a lone male, wearing a hoodie spray painting the letter SSCF on two sides of the cenotaph.
The culprit also spray painted the same letters on trees, hydro poles and sidewalks along the street.
Members of the legion are concerned they won`t be able to remove the paint without damaging the cenotaph which lists the names of Stamford residents killed during both World Wars and the Korean War.
