Niagara Falls City Council is considering bylaws that would put limitations on boarding houses, after a citizen wrote to council about issues in his neighbourhood.
In his letter to council, Ross Hicks says a neighbour renovated a five bedroom home to included three additional bedrooms.
There are now eleven tenants living there.
Residents are concerned with parking issues, excessive traffic and noise complaints in the area.
Hicks reached out to different departments at city hall looking for help but became frustrated when no one was able to tell him how to initiate the process to enact a bylaw.
There is currently no bylaw regarding boarding homes in the falls.
